Splash Dash 2023 returned to the streets of Southside Place on Saturday September 30. Approximately 120 participants made their way through a new 2 mile race route, having fun with neighbours and getting wet along the way! The finish line was a soaking by Engine 22 and then a jump the SSP pool! The high-energy pool party capped off the morning complete with DJ, cannon ball contests and prizes. The event was a great success, raising over $12,000 for the Fire Truck Park Fund.
We would like to thank all residents who attended this fun event. We loved seeing the smiling faces every step along the route. A special thank you to the kind neighbors who opened their yards to create the inflatable and splash fun!
Thank you to everyone who helped make Splash Dash 2023 a successful fundraiser and FUN raiser. Hats off to Park and Recreation Coordinator Andrew Deaver and his staff for all his assistance before, during and following the event as well as to Fire Chief Serrano and his crew. We also appreciate Caption McCall and the police department for ensuring everyone was safe along the way. A huge hank you to the returning event chairs, Alexa Burrow and Kristine Martinez for all of their time and efforts to making this a great community event!
